Gamelan Asmaradana Ltd (GA) is a not-for-profit performing arts and music education organization that is dedicated to preserving and promoting the appreciation of all styles and expressions of gamelan music, Javanese, Balinese, Sundanese, instrumental, dance and wayang, including angklung music too.

Incorporated in 2004, GA is made up of an ecclectic mix of gamelan enthusiasts from mid-teens to the silver-age, from all walks of life; some with no music background, but are enthusiastic and willing to learn; some with training in various genres of music (like Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Western too), and others with extensive training in gamelan, world music and ethnomusicology. Through passion, dedication, hardwork, youth and community outreach activities, we have created and presented many shows at distinctive venues in Singapore and regionally.

OUR MISSION
ʘ          Sharing the love of gamelan and angklung music to all in Singapore and beyond, through regular performances, recitals, workshops and community outreach initiatives. 
ʘ          Collaborating with other groups, musicians, artistes, etc, to enrich our shared musical experience, to enhance life-long-learning, as well as to encourage further participation and appreciation of ethnic music.

ʘ          Preserving our intangible cultural heritage, as well as generating deeper awareness of gamelan & angklung music in community, by nurturing and educating the next generation of gamelan musicians, through regular practice, training sessions, recitals and study field-trips.
